Early Head Start Philosophy

PCA recognizes that our families, society, and our culture is changing. Our classrooms and educational philosophies should reflect the change as well as to ensure that our infant and toddlers have an early enriching experience that will contribute to their personal and self sufficiency

Expectant Mothers and Families Program

Expectant mothers and Families Program is a home-based program that includes one on one visits, prenatal, labor and delivery and post partum education. Early Head Start programs are in a unique position to support pregnant women and can offer this support through a combination of systems and services which include:

  • Health
  • Social Services
  • Employment and/or Training
  • Education
  • Substance Abuse Treatment
  • Nutrition Services
  • Linkage to area community resources and doctors for prenatal care

What documents do I need to register?

    1. Proof of Family Income
    2. Insurance card (Medicaid, Private, etc.)
    3. DHEC birth certificate
    4. SC immunization certificate
    5. Proof of residency
    6. IFSP or Disability determination information (if applicable)
